Task briefs

The task brief is balanced on top of a fishbowl, on a plinth just outside the door of the house. The briefs for the task are as follows:

Fill the fishbowl with the most cat food.

You may not bend your hips or knees for the entire task.

Most cat food in the fishbowl wins.

You have 15 minutes.

Your time starts now.

On the back of the task brief:

Watch out for traps.

Task notes

  • On top of another plinth in the garden, there is an upturned metal bowl, on top of which there is a bottomless tin can full of cat food. If the contestants attempt to lift the can up, all of the food falls out of the bottom.
  • Another tin can full of cat food is attached to the wall inside Mark’s house with a nail, but attached to the lower half of the stable door with fishing wire so that it is tipped over and spills its contents if the lower part of the door is swung open.
  • Another tin can full of cat food is balanced on the edge of the desk in the study, visibly attached to something at the edge of the room with some brightly-coloured string, but also less visibly attached to a tripwire made of fishing wire, at shin level. If the contestants walk into the tripwire, the can is pulled off of the desk.
  • Another tin can full of cat food is sat on the table in the lab, and gets pulled up towards the ceiling, tipping out its contents, if the contestants open the door too wide.
