Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Anders just starts pouring vials into his glass, not bothering to sniff or taste any of them. His glass, while overflowing, is an absolute mess. Anders ties for fourth place, his glass having no actual water in it.
  • Neel almost exclusively pulls the vials from around her waist. As all of the water is contained in vials around the contestants' waists (which Neel later reveals that she had figured out), Neel ends up with a mostly-full glass of just water. Neel wins the task.
  • Mahamad crawls off of the stage and starts feeling around for something. From what can be seen in the footage, Mahamad is searching for a water bottle that he knows is over there (likely his or one of the other contestants'); Lasse seems to realise this, and takes the water bottle away. When he returns to his table, Mahamad sniffs his chosen vials to ascertain their contents. Mahamad ends up with a half-full glass of primarily dark brown liquid. Mahamad ties for fourth place, his glass having no actual water in it.
  • Annika primarily sniffs the contents of the vials to figure out what’s in them. Annika’s glass is half-full of clear liquid; a combination of water and vinegar. However, her glass contains less actual water than Jakob’s glass, so she earns third place.
  • Not much is shown of Jakob during this task, but near the end, he is shown tasting one of his vials, so he may have tasted his vials for most of the task. Jakob’s glass is about a quarter full, and the liquid is brown; despite the appearance, it is determined that Jakob’s glass actually contains more water than Annika’s glass, so he earns second place.
