Human war boats

  • In this live team task, which is clearly based on the popular board game Battleships, the teams must try to eliminate one another by throwing pillows over a tall screen to hit one another.
  • The rules of the game vary: in one version, all members of each team lie down in turn until the opposing team manage to hit all of them with their multiple pillows, and the winning team is the one which made the least throws; in another, only one member of each team lies down across three grid squares, and the teams then take turns in firing a single cushion over the screen, while their misses and hits are logged on chalkboards for them by Alex, with the winning team being the first to hit all three occupied grid squares.

Original version

In this version of the task, all members of each team lie down in turn until the opposing team manage to hit all of them with their multiple pillows, and the winning team is the one which made the least throws.

Adaptations

In this version of the task, only one member of each team lies down across three grid squares, and the teams then take turns in firing a single cushion over the screen, while their misses and hits are logged on chalkboards for them by Alex, with the winning team being the first to hit all three occupied grid squares.
In this version of the task, all members of each team lie down within the box marked on the floor until the opposing team manage to hit all of them with their multiple satsumas (instead of pillows), and the winning team is the one which made the least throws.
