The task brief is received in the Taskmaster house garden, where a small area of low white picket fencing encloses an exercise ball, a wooden crate full of coconuts, and a small wooden step stool. The brief for the task is as follows:
You have three options: place the exercise ball in the bath tub; place all of the coconuts into the bath tub; or fill the bath tub with water.
You must stand inside the fenced area when the exercise ball is placed in the bath tub.
You must not touch the coconuts with your hands or gloves.
If you choose to fill the tub, you must sing a happy melody.
You may not move the fence panel, fencing, or tub.

Task notes
- A second step stool is places on the other side of the picket fence, providing a way for the contestants to enter the fenced box. A tall fence panel stands between the fenced area and a bath tub.
- During footage of the contestants’ attempts, it is revealed that the crate containing the coconuts has no bottom to it (something that is apparently communicated through a small label on the crate).
