Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Ida gets into the pool to fetch the clothes. She then starts wringing the clothes by hand, and stepping on them to squeeze out as much water as possible. The final weight of the laundry is 8.7kg, so she earns third place.
  • Einar fishes the drying rack out of the pool, and then ties the clothes to the back of his car with rope, and drives around the neighbourhood, dragging them behind. By the end of the drive, the clothes are filthy, but quite dry. With a final weight of 8.2kg, he earns second place.
  • Amir uses a rake to retrieve the drying rack from the pool. He doesn’t make any attempts to actually dry the clothes, but rather performs a ‘dry’ joke involving the clothes being the wife of the house, and being ‘wet’, and her husband making her dry by asking her to sleep with him. He ends his dry comedy performance by playing a laugh track on his phone. With a final weight of 11.3kg, he earns last place.
  • Solveig retrieves the clothes by reaching in from the side of the pool. She attempts to squeeze the clothes, and uses a garden roller to roll over them, to remove as much water out as possible. However, one of the items of clothing gets wrapped around the axle of the roller, and she struggles to remove it. When she finally succeeds, the clothing is very dirty. With a final weight of 8.9kg, she earns fourth place.
  • Steinar removes the whole rack from the pool, and starts to wring the clothes out while he thinks. He decides to light the barbecue grill, and then hangs the clothes over it to dry. This is very effective, but also burns some of them slightly. With a final weight of 6.8kg, he earns first place.
