Attempts
Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Hani is not keen on the task from the very start, characterising it as "irritating", before deciding to go with the smart but boring solution of being a human animal. She notes that she will only seem smart if she is the only one to choose this option (which she turns out not to be). She puts on a wig and sits at a dining table in the garden, to eat a bowl of cold rice pudding in an authentic human way. Bård reluctantly accepts that humans are animals, but is not impressed by the solution, so awards her joint fourth place with Lars.
- Lars initially suggests that he could become a wolf, and then performs the elk call that his father taught him. However, in the end, he tries to take the 'clever' solution of being a human in the garden. He narrates his own authentic human behaviour as he wanders around the garden, doing a half-arsed job of tidying it up. Bård reluctantly accepts that humans are animals, but is not impressed by the solution, so awards him joint fourth place with Hani.
- Leo's attempt begins with some shadow theatre in the caravan window, as he simulates a rabbit being attacked by something. He then emerges from the caravan wearing an ill-fitting teddy bear suit, and simulating eating the rabbit, with blood smeared all over his snout and paws. Bård awards him third place.
- Karin appears from behind the caravan dressed as a sheep, and crawls on all fours towards the house, bleeting. She then sticks her head into a bucket and pretends to eat from it, before falling over on her side (not sure whether she is simulating sleeping or dying, here). Bård is very pleased with her authentic animal performance, and awards her first place.
- Vidar dresses up as a bird, using a small traffic cone, cut in half, and tied around his head, as its beak, and branches from the willow tree as its plumage. He also puts on a hat, decorated with colourful feathers, and then moves towards the house, performing an elaborate avian display. In the studio, he claims he was being a 'bush pidgin' from Lørenskog (a suburb outside of Oslo). Bård awards him second place for his effort.
