Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Images will be added later.
- After joking that David must have brought the door from his own home, Linnéa searches the shed. She finds a sun hat, but wonders if she should build a hat instead. She reasons that the height of the hat is measured from its highest point, so all she really needs to do is add height to an existing hat. She attaches two long poles to the top of a cowboy hat, and is about to put it on, but first asks David if she actually has to wear the hat. David acknowledges that he never said the hat needed to be worn. Linnéa then turns her attention to the shoes, and reasons that the shoes can be “long backwards”. She ties long pieces of rope to her shoes, and then ties small stuffed animals to each piece, to give the shoes a bit more flair. She walks through the door holding her hat, instead of wearing it. With a combined length/height of 23 metres and 17 centimetres, Linnéa earns first place.
- Nikki runs off in search of a hat, and finds several, which she stacks up on her head. She heads to the shed to find materials to make some shoes, and ends up gaffer-taping some carpet beaters to her feet. She either does not pick up on David’s hints that she should likely try to add more length and height to her items, or she simply does not care. Nikki has no problems walking through the door with her hat and shoes. With a combined length/height of 2 metres and 6 centimetres, she earns fourth place.
- Marko searches the shed for ideas, giving himself a pep talk to stay calm when he does not find any immediate inspiration. He finds a cache of hats in the shed, and stacks them atop one other before placing them all on his head, smartly arranging them in order by size, to keep them as stable as possible. He then gaffer-tapes wooden planks to his feet, to serve as shoes, and attaches his own shoes to the front end of the planks. Unfortunately, this creates a problem for him, as he is unable to get close enough to the door to open it. Despite the rough start, Marko is able to get the door open (off-camera), and ducks through the doorway successfully. With a combined length/height of 3 metres and 20 centimetres, Marko earns third place.
- Marcus reads the task, and scoffs at the notion that anyone would crawl through the door. He searches the shed and emerges with a cowboy hat, which he perches atop a rolled-up carpet, and attempts to balance on his head. Realising that the carpet is too flexible, he swaps it out for two long, thick cardboard tubes which he has gaffer-taped together. Marcus realises that the length of the shoe can extend from the heel, and so simply ties some ropes to his ankles, which drag behind him. He also ties one of his own shoes to each of the ropes. He charges at the open door, but the weight of his hat causes it to drag along the ground when he ducks. As he passes through the door, he drops down onto his hands and knees and begins crawling, relying on David to inform him when the shoes have finally passed through the doorway. Marcus manages an impressive combined length/height of 24 metres and 18 centimetres, but is disqualified for crawling.
- Henrik pulls some long tubes from the shed and tapes them to his feet, almost immediately tripping over them. He berates himself for putting the shoes on before having his hat in place. He finds a long, thick cardboard tube, and gaffer-tapes a cowboy hat onto one end of it. He then supplements the tube with a second one, to add more height to his hat. To get through the door, Henrik squats and shuffles along slowly, using both hands to support the weight of his hat. With a combined length/height of 10 metres and 97 centimetres, Henrik earns second place.
