Task brief
The task brief is presented on a plinth in the lab, propped up against a small plasma ball. The brief for the task is as follows:
Do the most unpredictable thing at the end of the 500-second timer.
Most unpredictable thing wins.
Your timer starts now.

Task notes
- Next to the plinth, there is a chalkboard with a white sheet draped over it, onto which the number 500 is being projected.
- Paul is standing next to the projector, which is on the metal table usually found in the lab, and which is connected to a laptop.
- As the contestants finish reading the task brief, the timer projected onto the screen begins to count down towards zero (taking 8.3333... minutes).
- Unbeknownst to the contestants, Paul has written predictions on the covered chalkboard for the actions he thinks the contestants are most likely to do, as follows: "ATTACK PAUL", "TAKE YOUR CLOTHES OFF", "SILLY DANCE", "LOUD AND/OR AGGRESSIVE NOISES", "COSTUME CHANGE", and "BREAK WIND".
