The task brief is laid on the table in the caravan. The brief for the task is as follows:
Choose a new nickname based on something you do in the next 20 minutes.
Best nickname wins.
Your time started when you smiled at Alex.
Task notes
- Alex sits on one side of the table, and starts his timer as soon as each contestant smiles, even if they haven’t opened the task brief yet.
- The marquee sign normally seen in the living room in the NYT specials is stood on the table in the caravan, leant against the window, and reads ‘TASKMASTER Starring [Contestant’s Name]’.
- After each contestant reveals their new nickname, their name on the sign is replaced with that nickname.
