Mastertask notes:
In this version of the task, the contestants are first asked to choose how far in front of them a wine glass is placed, and how much wine it should be filled with. The Taskmaster’s assistant then places the glass on the end of a roll of toilet paper, and rolls the rest of the roll towards the contestant. The contestants must then retrieve and sip their wine without any part of their body crossing the line they are stood behind. There is only one round, and points are assigned based on how quickly they sip their drinks, and then how far away the glasses are, if they fail.

Task briefs

The actual text of the task briefs is not known. The text below is paraphrased based on information disclosed in the episode:

Choose how far in front of you the wine glass is placed.

Say ‘stop’ when you think there’s enough wine in the glass.

Standing behind the green line, and not crossing it with any body parts, use the toilet roll to pull the wine glass towards you.

The one who takes a sip of the wine first gets 5 points.

If your roll breaks, we will assign points based on how far away the wine glass is.

Task notes

  • The contestants are lined up side-by-side on stage, standing behind a green line taped on the floor.
  • Olli is stood behind a wooden drinks cart, upon which there are two bottles of red wine (or, at least, something resembling red wine), and five stemmed wine glasses.
  • Olli first instructs each contestant to choose where to place their glass, and how much wine it should contain.
  • He then reveals five plain white toilet rolls which are hidden beneath some red velvet fabric on the bottom shelf of the cart.
  • Olli places each contestant’s glass on the end of a roll of toilet paper, and rolls the rest of the roll towards them, before officially revealing the goal of the task.
