The brief for the task is as follows:
Taking turns in your teams, blow bubbles, then fan them through the hoop.
On an attacking turn, one team-mate must blow bubbles, using one breath only, from the spot.
They must then fan the bubbles through the hoop.
The defending team can defend their goal only by throwing single peas from the sideline.
Most bubble goals wins.
Task notes
- The contestants are stood side-by-side at the back of the stage, behind a red line marked on the floor, and between two plinths, and are all wearing safety goggles.
- One the left-most plinth, there is a burgundy velvet cushion, on top of which there is a tube containing soap bubble fluid and a wand for blowing bubbles, and two small hand-held electric fans. In front of the plinth, there is a circular red marker spot on the floor.
- On the right-most plinth, there is an ornate silver tray full of frozen peas. In front of the plinth, there is a small yellow hula hoop, mounted on a stand.
