Task brief
The task brief is encoded in the form of a QR code attached to both Alex’s chest and back. The brief for the task is as follows:
Honk the horn.
Fastest wins.
Your time started when you said your first word.

Task notes
- There is a bulb horn stood up on end on the table in the living room.
- As soon as the contestants say their first word, Alex starts his timer.
- When the contestants leave the living room to fetch their phones so they can scan the QR code on Alex’s chest, he leaves the room and begins a circuit around the grounds to evade them.
- Once the contestants catch up with him, they spot that he has a larger version of the QR code on his back, which is much easier to scan while chasing him.
- There are also several other QR codes dotted around the grounds, along the route Alex takes as he runs away from the contestants. These are not explicitly revealed in the final edit of the episode, but were as follows:
- On the phonebox, there is a QR code which reveals the message:
If you ring the reversing bell, Alex will walk only backwards for 10 seconds.
- On the wall beneath the doorbell, there is a QR code which reveals the message:
If you shout out his full name, with middle names, Alex will stand still for five seconds.
- On the front of the caravan, above the window, there is a QR code which reveals the message:
You could try blocking the doorways?
- On the side of the dome, there is a QR code which reveals the message:
If you do ten star jumps, Alex will also then do ten star jumps.
- Somewhere else, there is a QR code which reveals the message:
Have you learnt Alex’s route?
- On the phonebox, there is a QR code which reveals the message:
- It's unclear where in the house the 'reversing bell' was.
