Task brief

The brief for the task is as follows:

Guess how many things the Taskmaster’s assistant has on him.

Worst answer is eliminated, but there is a bonus of 5 actual points if you are exactly 10 out at any time.

Last player standing wins.

Task notes

The contestants’ seats are moved so that they are seated facing the stage, while Greg and Alex are stood on the stage.
There is a screen on the left side of the stage, behind which Alex conceals himself before each round, while various items are attached to him.
In the first round, the contestants must guess how many babies Alex has on him. He comes out from behind the screen holding three baby dolls, but turns out to have another two attached to his back.
In the second round, the contestants must guess how many forks Alex has on him. He comes out from behind the screen holding a tray with 15 forks attached to it in one hand, and another tray with a silver cloche over it in the other hand. The cloche turns out to be concealing a plate full of marbles (because “it’s always forks and marbles”).
In the third round, the contestants must guess how many belts Alex is wearing. He comes out from behind the screen with no visible belts, and turns out to be wearing just one white karate belt.
In the fourth and final round, the contestants must guess how many birds Alex has one him. Alex comes out from behind the screen with three small replica birds perched on his left forearm, and his right arm hidden behind his back. He turns out to have just one more bird on him, hidden inside his mouth.
Each contestant is equipped with a small whiteboard and a marker pen, so they can write down their guesses for each round.
As the first three contestants are eliminated from the task, Greg throws a baby to each of them to hold, as an indicator that they are out. However, the eliminated contestants also keep making guesses, so that they can potentially win the 5 bonus points.
