Attempts
Here's a brief description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on writing up some additional detail, though!
- Ruben uses the money to buy four magazines and a pair of scissors, and makes a ransom letter for Lasse's daighter. Lasse responds by putting him in last place.
- Lina bought 200 kronor worth of bricks, saying that she had always been told to 'invest in bricks and mortar'. Lasse places her third.
- Julie invests in the future of the planet by using the money to sponsor the protection of a piece of rainforest. Lasse has to reward the environmental message, and awards her first place.
- Christian claims to have bought a 'stone age axe head', and brings an 'appraisal expert' named Kenneth Nielsen (played by the comedian and actor Kasper Nielsen) onto the stage to value it for him. He nudges the expert to increase the value of his estimate several times, ending at 95,000 kronor. Lasse rewards the farce by putting Christian in second place.
- Nikolaj says he asked his brother, an economist, for advice on what to invest in. Based on this advice, he decides to invest in salmon, but actually buys salmon from a shop instead. The by then rotting fish is presented on stage, wrapped in paper. Lasse rewards the effort with fourth place.
