Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • As Annika is in the lead when the task begins, she is given the responsibility to place the contestants behind their tables. She places herself at the grape table. She tapes two gutters together, and sends handfuls of grapes down during each attempt, but never manages to get any into the bowl. Annika ties for third place.
  • Anders is placed at the pineapple table. He tapes two of the gutters together and, realizing that the pineapple will not roll, uses the gutters to throw his pineapples at the bowl. After a few failed attempts, this method actually works for Anders near the end of the time, and he successfully gets one whole pineapple into the bowl, and manages to land another one right at the buzzer. Anders wins the task.
  • Jakob is placed at the banana table. He tapes two gutters together, then uses a yellow pole to push a banana down the gutter and towards the bowl. After a few tries, Jakob manages to get a banana into the bowl just before time runs out. Jakob ties for second place.
  • Mahamad is placed at the pear table. He tapes two gutters together, then tapes two green poles to the end of it to extend his reach (presumably, unseen, he tried to tape three gutters, but the resulting structure fell apart), but never manages to get any pears into the bowl. Mahamad ties for third place.
  • Neel is placed at the coconut table. She tapes two of the gutters together and rolls a coconut down towards the bowl. Unfortunately, the coconut is a bit too large for the gutter, and gets stuck several times on the descent. After a few tries, Neel manages to get a coconut in the bowl just before time runs out. Neel ties for second place.
