Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Rob brings in a red and gold footstool which matches the Taskmaster’s throne. Greg likes it, and initially states that it would “take some beating”. Ultimately, though, Rob earns second place.
- Dave brings in a collection of items connected to Greg’s hometown, Wem (in Shropshire). The first item is a book called the Story of Wem, and Greg is very surprised at how thick it is. The second item is a programme from Wem City Football Club’s biggest match. However, although it was recorded on Greg’s Facebook page that he was a supporter of the team, it turns out that he isn’t even really aware that they exist. The next item is a vintage bottle from the now closed Wem Brewery, which Greg says had been the destination for every single one of his school trips. Lastly, Dave brings in a music record titled WEM. He earns first place for doing his research, however flawed it might have been.
- Al brings in £20 worth of the ‘the last Rolos’ (referencing a chocolate sweet ad campaign from 1980s which had the slogan “Do you love anyone enough to give them your last Rolo?”). It is pointed out that the collection of all of these last Rolos would have meant that he’d had to have eaten over 300 Rolo chocolates himself. He earns third place.
- Sara says that she’d wanted to give Greg the gift of her own time, and so she’d written “an episode” of Greg’s sitcom, Man Down. She then reveals that what she’d actually done was written just one page of a script for an episode, and then padded it with blank paper, to look like a full script. She earns last place.
- Paul starts out by confirming, in an unnecessarily creepy way, that Greg is “a man that likes women”. What he has actually brought in as a gift, though is a game of Twister, which he suggests that Greg could play naked, with some of the women he likes so much. He earns fourth place.
