Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Ida, having misunderstood the task, picks the bear entirely off the ground, and runs from the start line to the finish line while carrying the bear. She questions if she did it right, to which Olli quietly states that she didn’t. In the studio, she admits that she’d thought it was too good to be true, and that it had been her favourite task, until now. She is disqualified.
  • Amir misunderstands the task. He hangs the bear’s arms over his shoulders, and drags it while running from start to finish. He doesn’t say much in the studio other than that he is looking forward to seeing the other’s attempts. He is disqualified.
  • Solveig realises that she can think for as long as she likes before attempting the task. After a period of brainstorming, she realises that she is able to move the finish line so that is right next to the start. Having done so, she throws the bear across the finish line, only just avoiding stepping over the start line herself. Solveig’s strategy pays off, and she secures first place.
  • Steinar rigs up a pulley system between the start line and the shed, attaching a rope around the bear’s neck, and supporting the bear’s upper body on a walker frame. Using his pulley system, he successfully pulls the bear from start to finish without any hiccups. At the end, the walker hits the shed, and the bear falls off. Steinar seems very proud of his efforts, which earn him second place.
  • Einar sets up a pulley system near the shed, to pull a small cart from start to finish. He tapes the bear up into a large ball, and places it inside of the cart. Using his pulley system, he pulls the bear almost entirely to the finish line, but then a knot in the rope gets caught in the pulley, preventing the cart from crossing the line. He manages to reposition the taught rope so that it is under one side of the cart, and then pulls it up and to the right to tip the bear out and over the finish line. He earns third place.
