Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Steinar pops a balloon in the middle of the task, and ends up with a light blue balloon knotted and twisted around a dark blue balloon, which has its own knots and twists, and overall looks like an abstract sculpture. He earns second place.
  • Ida gets frustrated, throughout the task, with the process of twisting the balloons, and directly asks Olli how she’s meant to do it. She ends up with just an orange balloon folded in half, with a green one poking through the middle of it. After the task is over, she pops her orange balloon ,and ends up with just the green one. She earns last place.
  • Amir pops his first balloon while pumping it up. He ends up creating a very simple dog with a blue balloon for the hind legs and a tail, and a white balloon for the front two legs. He earns third place.
  • Einar uses a lime balloon to make a pretty decent balloon animal, which he draws a face on. He finishes a few seconds before the end of the task, and earns first place.
  • Solveig uses just one balloon, holding one end of it with her mouth, while manipulating the rest of it. She leaves the end untied, and manages to twist a knot of sorts into the middle of the balloon. Her final result, as is noted, looks slightly phallic, with her singular knot resembling a pair of testicles. She is still tightly holding the untied end closed in her hand as she earns fourth place.
