• Ida’s first idea for a loud noise is a scream, so she just screams loudly at Valdemar for her attempt. In the studio, she acknowledges that she doesn’t think she had ever screamed like that before. She earns second place.
• Amir plays some hip hop music to Valdemar while running an air compressor and smashing some pieces of slate on the ground. Atle suggests to Amir that maybe he’d thought it sounded loud because he was a soft-spoken southerner, but points out to him that it was in fact just a bunch of sounds. Amir earns fourth place.
• Solveig makes a collection of metal objects which are noisy when hit. She sets up a garden roller on the ground, below an upstairs window, and places Valdemar next to it. She then takes her noisy objects upstairs in a crate, and drops them onto the roller from the window. The resulting noise is disappointing quite, and she earns last place.
• Einar places lots of metal objects in a cart, below an upstairs window, and then collect another set of objects, which he takes upstairs in a crate. Valdemar is placed next to the cart, onto which Einar drops his crate of objects from the window, while screaming. The resulting cacophony of loud crashing and clanging noises earns him third place.
• Steinar places Valdemar on the side of a cement mixer, and then starts a fire inside of the mixer, before dropping in an aerosol can. Nothing happens for a long period of time but, with less than a minute left, the can finally explodes inside the mixer, making a very loud noise which earns him first place.
