Attempts
Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Sebastian tries a few things, first using an angle grinder against a shovel, then using a paint scraper against a dinner plate, then switching to using a small power saw against the plate. Lasse has to judge him on the one he settled on, for which he earns second place.
- Simon first rubs an inflated balloon against a large piece of polystyrene, and then rubs a cauliflower against the polystyrene, creating two irrititating squeaking noises. Lasse finds the noise viscerally uncomfortable, so awards Simon first place.
- Eva decides that the worst sound is that made by a card payment machine in the supermarket when a card gets declined, so heads off with Mark to recreate that experience. Unfortunately, Lasse is financially secure enough that he cannot relate to the experience, so she earns fourth place.
- Julie decides that the sound Lasse would like least would be the sound of Mark becoming the Taskmaster. She then plays the start of an episode of the show so that Mark can perform the introductory monologue, including referring to his 'little assistant, Lasse Rimmer'. However, Lasse finds the sound of this more amusing than irritating, so her effort falls somewhat flat, and she earns last place.
- Martin decides that the sounds of bones breaking would be the most horrible sound, so goes inside the playhouse with Mark and asks him to break his legs. Unfortunately, Lasse does not find his performance convincing, and is not bothered by the sounds it produces, so he earns third place.
