Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Solveig believes that Amir and Steinar will be patient. She stands silently in front of the button for a while, noting that she thinks Einar will wait for a while too, and theorising that he’ll probably start doing something like listing the ten top goalkeepers of all time. She then tries to complete this exact time-killing exercise, with some help from Olli, but does not know anywhere near enough about football. Eventually, she gives up on her side-mission, hits the button, and leaves. She actually presses the button last, and earns last place.
  • Steinar re-reads the part of the task brief which states that he can’t leave the room until after he presses the button. He then instantly presses it, and leaves the room. He ends up being the first to press the button, and ends up in fourth place.
  • Amir initially comments that the task is about being patient. However, he then pretty quickly presses the button, stating that he doesn’t want to be the last to do so. He ends up pressing the button second, and earns third place.
  • Ida has no idea what to do, and states that it’s all just about probability and luck. She ends up pressing the button third, and earns second place.
  • Einar starts talking about how executioners used to behead people while they were still in the middle of saying their last prayer, to catch them off-guard. He also acknowledges that he just needs to be barely faster than the last person to press the button, which he knows will be Solveig. He then starts to recite a prayer and, right in the middle of it, screams and whacks the button with the side of his hand. He actually presses the button fourth, and wins the task.
