Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Images will be added later.

  • Linnéa completes the task in David’s little house on the Bäst i Test grounds. Nearly a minute into her time, she confidently declares that no-one will have touched the pig yet, but believes that Marko will find this task particularly stressful. She puts up a good front of being unbothered by being unable to touch the pig, but admits that the pig is “craving” to be touched and that, were it just another piece of furniture, she would have already touched it. David pounces on Linnéa’s weakness, pointing out how tempting the pig’s snout is, and that he is allowed to touch the pig all he wants. After convincing herself that at least two other people have touched the pig (which is correct), Linnéa pats the pig’s back after 8 minutes and 2 seconds, and wins the task.
  • Evelyn completes the task in a wooded area near the Bäst i Test house. She tells David that she thinks that one contestant will wait a really long time to touch the pig, so she is secure that she will not earn a disqualification for coming last. She believes that Henrik could very well wait for an hour. She admits that she really wants to touch the pig - that it’s like being at the Louvre and wanting to touch the paintings specifically because it is forbidden. Evelyn becomes increasingly agitated by not being able to touch the pig, so she leaves the wooded area and goes inside the house to distract herself, even taking a brief catnap. Evelyn eventually returns and touches the pig after 15 minutes and 4 seconds, and is disqualified.
  • Marko completes the task on a bench in the garden, near the shed. He tells David that he really wants to be the fourth person to touch the pig. Marko’s footage is edited together with Evelyn, Linnéa, and Henrik all saying that he will wait a long time to touch the pig. Marko himself seems stressed, and tells David that he plans on touching the pig at the four-minute mark. When David asks where Marko plans on touching the pig, Marko replies that he’ll likely touch its snout. At the four-minute mark, Marko announces that he’ll delay his touch by fifteen seconds. He then convinces himself that doing so will likely mean he is the first, so he says he’ll touch the pig at the five-minute mark instead. Marko grabs the pig’s tail after exactly 5 minutes, and comes third.
  • Henrik completes the task in the sitting room of the Bäst i Test house. He confidently declares that Marko will likely wait a long time to touch the pig. He also believes that Evelyn will be more patient than other contestants, though he admits that it’s quite possible that Evelyn will struggle with the awkward silence, and would touch the pig early just to get it over with. Henrik’s footage is edited together with Linnéa, Marko, and Evelyn’s attempts and, of the four, he is the only one who does not seem to be bothered by not being allowed to touch the pig. When David asks where Henrik plans on touching the pig, he replies that he isn’t sure, but likely behind the ear. While Henrik admits that the conversation is distracting, he either eventually starts being bothered by the pig or just gets bored, as he begins pacing. He straddles the pig after 7 minutes 33 seconds, and comes second.
  • Nikki completes the task in the back garden of the Bäst i Test house, close to the water. She reasons that someone will have touched the pig almost immediately and disqualified themselves, never considering that she may be the person to do so. She says that waiting around means making small talk with David, which is always awkward. She asks if she actually has to touch the pig, and David confirms that she must. Nikki touches the pig’s ear after 2 minutes and 38 seconds, and is disqualified.
