Task brief

The brief for the task is as follows:

When asked to, put a grape in your hand or in your mouth, whilst staring at the Taskmaster.

You must then answer the Taskmaster's question, and convince him that your grape is not where he thinks it is.

You must not eat the grape.

Your answer must have at least five words.

If the Taskmaster correctly guesses where you hid the grape, you are eliminated.

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Vasco tells Jessica to recite, in English, the Pythagorean Theorem. In English, she responds that she does not understand him. Vasco correctly guesses that the grape is in Jessica’s hand. Because she is eliminated, Jessica receives no points.
  • Vasco tells Gilmário to recite the ‘rato roeu a rolha’ tongue twister. Gilmário performs the tongue twister, completely neglecting to try to hide whether anything is in his mouth. Vasco correctly guesses that the grape is in Gilmário’s hand. Because he is eliminated, Gilmário receives no points.
  • Vasco asks Pedro to tell him the best way to transport water from Bucket A to Bucket B. Pedro replies that the best way is to run back and forth. Vasco correctly guesses that the grape is in Pedro’s hand. Because he is eliminated, Pedro receives no points.
  • Vasco tells Toy to explain how a four-stroke engine works. Toy replies that a four-stroke engine works very well – you just start it, and it works. Vasco incorrectly guesses that the grape is in Toy’s hand. Toy cheekily offers up a rhyming verse for Vasco's traditional end of episode poem about this moment once he reveals that his guess is incorrect. As the winner, Toy receives 5 points.
  • Vasco asks what Inês wants to do to Nuno after everything that has transpired so far in the episode. Inês replies that she wants to kill him with a hammer. Vasco correctly guesses that the grape is in Inês' mouth. Because she is eliminated, Inês receives no points.
