Biography

Jessica Athayde achieved national recognition as Mimi in the hit TV series Morangos com Açúcar, back in 2006. In 2007 she became part of the main cast of Ilha dos Amores. Since then she has been a regular presence in TVI's major TV series, starring in A Outra, Flor do Mar, Mar de Paixão and Destinos Cruzados. Her role as an abuse victim Barbara Rodrigues in Mulheres granted her critical acclaim and marked a turning point in her career from comedy to drama. She played the lead role as Alexa in A Herdeira in 2017, and starred in the TV series Onde Está Elisa? between 2018 and 2020.
