Episode synopsis
In this season finale, the contestants must bring in something life-changing, work out what Markl is wearing, sneeze the fastest, get into two sleeping bags, make a mess and then clean it up, draw a portrait of the Taskmaster across a flipchart, record some incredible PoV footage, and then slide drinks to the Taskmaster. The guest contestant is Inês Castel-Branco.
Title context
'And they lived happily ever after...' was the end of Inês Castel-Branco's story in the 'Record the most incredible PoV footage' task.
Taskmaster Intro
Well then, good evening. Welcome to Taskmaster. I am Vasco Palmeirim, and this moment would have to come one day. It's the last episode of Taskmaster. But we have to be strong... But there is still a lot to see on today's show. It's a promise. We have, of course, a new guest. We have heroic tasks to overcome, and a huge prize to deliver. Yes, this bust is going home today... A beautiful bust... It's a beautiful prize. Today... Today it ends! And this bust goes to the home of one of the elements of our permanent cast. The one that has accumulated the most points during all episodes. We will do the maths at the end.
Contestant Intros
An actress who has so many characters within her that a boyfriend once said, “You're amazing and super talented, but can I stay a little with Ines?” The result: the boy went back to his life, and we got her instead. It's Inês Aires Pereira!
A comedian born and raised in Angola, who survived, according to himself: being run over, being poisoned, alcohol intoxication, and shootings. Do you still think Taskmaster is hard? This man's here on holiday! It's Gilmário Vemba!
An actress who says she'll never forget a hotel in the Bukit region that has a saltwater swimming pool. If you have never tried it, try using the bowl of water in which you've soaked your cod. It might have the same effect. It's Jessica Athayde!
One of our greatest singers. Recently, Monica Sintra asked him a question: “If you were on a deserted island and you could only have one of the following, which one would you pick? Wine, music, or... mm-mmmh” You just have to look at his face to realise that wine and music never stood a chance. It's Toy!
Note: Mónica Sintra is a Portuguese singer.
An actress who says she likes a certain level of discomfort. In her own words: “If there's something I'm not skilled at, that's what I want to do the most.” Congratulations, you're on the right show! It's Inês Castel-Branco!
Assistant Intro
But for now, as always, next to me, is a man to whom I have entrusted the mission of executing all the tasks. Always with me, always. He does radio. He does television. He makes doodles. He makes little clay figures, which he then puts in the oven, and then ruins because he forgets they are in the oven. It's Nuno Markl!
Taskmaster's Sign-off
If someone asks for a mess, if an uproar is needed,
Some say “it's a Joaquina!” and some grab the djembe.
Sneezing on the spot can be troublesome,
But maybe it's worth it to shove a feather up your schnozzle.
When solving a mystery, there's always someone who stands out,
67 seconds are enough to shout, “It's Markl dressed like a cow!”
We had laughter, we had screams, and sometimes fate was harsh.
On behalf of us all, thank you very much.
This was Taskmaster!
Note: This sign-off poem was translated more literally, so does not rhyme in English.
