Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Toy stares at the table for his attempt. He tells Nuno about the things he’s imagining on the table (food, his wife’s face) that will disappear if he blinks. Toy does not blink for 1 minute 9 seconds and comes second.
- Pedro stares at the camera for his attempt, but does not engage with Nuno’s attempts at conversation, before eventually announcing that his vision has gone blurry. Pedro does not blink for 1 minute 1 second and comes third.
- Gilmário stares at the camera and does not move or speak; however, he keeps his eyes open wide. Gilmário does not blink for 13 seconds and comes fourth.
- Inês holds her eyelids open. She discovers that if she rolls her eyes around and up, it helps curb the desire to blink. She eventually starts tearing up, and accidentally blinks while wiping the tears away. Inês does not blink for 2 minutes 25 seconds and wins the task.
- Jessica keeps her eyes closed until her time starts. When Nuno informs her that her time has started, she looks into the camera and immediately blinks. Jessica does not blink for 2 seconds and comes last.
