Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Kristoffer leaves the lab to find something else magnetic, and returns with a small porcelain cup, which he soon discovers does not qualify. He then considers fetching the refrigerator from the kitchen, but acknowledges the possibility that it might be a lot of effort for no reward, if it is not magnetic. He leaves the lab and returns with a rifle, which he suspends from the magnet, pointing directly at Olli. He then attaches a stepladder to the magnet, and suspends a few non-metallic things from the stepladder (a hose, some ropes). After the ladder is dislodged, he reattaches it with just some chain and a single length of rope suspended from it. The total weight of the objects is 16.2kg, earning him second place.
- Espen realises that the screws provided are just a diversion, and that he can probably find something much better to use. He leaves the lab and returns with an exercise bike, which he is pleased to discover is actually magnetic. Unfortunately, the magnet will not hold the entire weight of the bicycle, but Espen is able to attach it in such a way that the table is supporting some of its weight. His final weight is 21.6kg, earning him first place.
- Henriette initially focuses her efforts on just getting as many of the screws provided to stick to the magnet. She then drags the refrigerator in from the kitchen, only to discover that its exterior is not magnetic. Not wishing to give up on it, she manouevres it up onto the table to align the magnet with part of it which is more magnetic. However, although the magnet does initially stick to something, the fridge proves to be just too heavy to remain attached. She therefore manages to suspend no weight from the magnet, but still earns one point for her effort.
- After toying with the screws for a while, Martha leaves the lab and returns with a collection of other metallic objects - mostly trophies. She manages to suspend several of these from the magnet, and then also tries to balance some porcelain figurines on top of them. After this jumble of objects falls apart, she tries holding them together with duct tape instead. However, it seems that the assembly keeps falling apart, each time she rebuilds it. She does eventually get a collection of objects with a combined weight of 5.4kg to remain attached, though, earning third place.
- Live initially focuses on getting as many of the screws provided to attach to the magnet as possible, before considering that other things might be useful. Noticing that the table is metallic, she asks Olli to help her lift it up to the magnet. However, it proves to be made of some non-magnetic form of stainless steel. She leaves the lab and returns with a sign, which is also not magnetic. She then tries a weighing scale, which does prove to be magnetic. Sticking with this item, she starts adding all of the provided screws to it for additional weight, eventually managing to build up a weight of 3kg, and earning fourth place.
