Task briefs

The briefs for the task are as follows:

Choose a participant from your team to write 10 animals on the board.

That participant has 100 seconds to write the 10 animals.

Choose a participant to communicate the other team’s animals to your team.

You must communicate only by imitating the animal while saying the letter that comes before the first letter of the animal’s name, over and over again.

Each team has 100 seconds.

The most correctly guessed animals wins.

Task notes

  • Lasse announces that this will be a two-part task before the first part is even read out.
  • The contestants are divided into their groups on stage, each standing near an easel with lines drawn on it, where they must make their lists.
  • The Danish alphabet consists of 29 letters: A-Z, followed by ‘Æ’, then ‘Ø’, then ‘Å’.
  • Lasse clarifies, while explaining the rules of the second part of the task, that ‘Å’ (the final letter of the alphabet) is to be considered as the letter before ‘A’, in case that is necessary.
  • Lasse also demonstrates how the task is meant to be done, getting on the ground and saying ‘Y’ over and over while kicking his legs out, and Anders correctly guesses that Lasse is imitating a zebra.
  • In the descriptions of the teams’ attempts at this task on this site, the actual letters said by the contestants are presented accurately. This differs from how things are presented in the fan-made English subs (linked below), where the letters presented correspond to the English translations of the animals’ names instead. For example, ‘J’ is said for ‘kow’ (cow), but in the subtitles the contestant is depicted as saying ‘B’.
