Task brief

The task brief is handed to the contestants outside the house by Paul, after he pulls it from his inside jacket pocket. The brief for the task is as follows:

Film a trailer for a movie about this trailer in the style of your given genre.

Best trailer trailer wins.

You have 45 minutes.

An open topped grey vehicle trailer on the lawn by the Taskmaster house. Behind can be seen a dark bicycle leaning against a wooden fence.

Task notes

  • The contestants find Paul standing next to a small trailer, in the middle of which a wheel of fortune has been mounted.
  • The wheel is divided up into 16 segments, each of which has a movie genre written within it: rom-com; psychological thriller; spy; courtroom drama; sword and sandal; fantasy; superhero; sci-fi; war; martial arts; foreign arthouse; horror; mystery; western; action; and musical.
  • Before the contestants read the task brief, Paul tells them to spin the wheel to randomly select a genre.
