Task brief

The task brief is laid on a BiT-branded market spot on the driveway. The brief for the task is as follows:

Build a tall tower on the mark.

Highest tower wins.

If you make a mistake, you will get zapped.

You have 10 minutes.

Your time starts now.

Task notes

  • The gravel around the market spot on the driveway has been raked into concentric rings, forming a circle. Flanking this circle, there are four stanchions marking its perimeter.
  • The contestants are all wearing shock collars on their wrists, the controller for which is in David’s possession.
  • David is seated nearby in his umpire’s chair. On his clipboard, he has a list of all of the secret rules which, if broken by the contestants, will earn them a shock.
  • Once a rule is broken and a shock has been delivered, David then shares with the contestants what rule they had broken.
  • The rules are as follows:
    • Do not remain quiet for more than 10 seconds
    • Do not repeat yourself
    • Do not run
    • Do not walk backwards
    • Do not enter the shed
    • Do not enter the house
    • Do not enter the caravan
    • Do not leave the garden
    • Do not move the mark
    • Do not use the umpire’s chair
    • Do not use the oil drums
    • Do not use the bikes
    • Do not look David in the eyes
    • Do not say anything negative to/about David
    • Do not question the task
  • This task is reminiscent of (but also very different to) the ‘Answer questions / Build a tower using wooden blocks’ task from season 2 of Bäst i Test.
  • The use of a list of secret rules is also reminiscent of the ‘Obey all of the traffic signals’ task from Taskmaster UK.
