The task brief is laid on top of a small musical keyboard on the table in the study. The brief for the task is as follows:
Play these notes.
You may hear the notes whenever you either insult or compliment Mike.
Most correct consecutive notes in your final attempt wins.
You have a maximum of 10 minutes.

Task notes
- After the contestants read the first line of the task brief, Mike triggers an audio clip of the necessary sequence of 10 notes on his tablet. He then repeats the clip each time the contestants either insult or compliment him.
- On the top shelf of a set of shelves in the corner of the room, there are a variety of keys (for locks) mounted on a framed board, with the heading ‘These keys are the key to the keyboard’s keys’, and numbered stickers beneath each key to indicate the order in which the corresponding key on the keyboard should be played.
