Task brief
The task brief is in the possession of a man seated in a director’s chair in the study. The brief for the task is as follows:
Get to know this person.
Your knowledge of this person will be tested in 10 minutes.
You may not write anything down, and you must take turns asking different questions.
This person will tell the truth, lie, and brag, in this order, but not necessarily starting with the truth.

Task notes
- Opposite the man, there are empty director’s chairs for each member of the team.
- Markl stands behind the contestants during the task, and is in possession of a tool constructed from three ping pong paddles with words written on them to instruct the man how to answer each question: ‘verdade’ (truth), ‘mentira’ (lie), and ‘bazófia’ (brag).
- The follow-up exam takes place outside of the caravan, and consists of the following questions (the actual answers are given in brackets), which are an amalgamation of the questions asked by the contestants during their time with him, and not a list of pre-arranged questions:

- Does he have a girlfriend, and how long have they been together? [Yes, 10 years]
- Where does he usually spend his holidays? [Tavira]
- Does he dye his hair? [No]
- Has he used Farandol? [No, and he doesn’t know what it is (Farandol is a type of temporary hair dye that was very popular in Portugal, in the 1980s.)]
- What is his favourite dish? [Cottage pie]
- What is his preferred means of transportation? [Motorcycle]
- In which countries has he lived? [Only Portugal]
- How many languages does he speak? [Three – Portuguese, English, and Spanish]
- How many times a week does he ‘go there’? [It’s not up to him, but once or twice]
- Does he usually ‘go there’ standing, or lying down? [It depends]
