In this version of the task, there are fewer flags to choose from in the deck of cards, and the contestants only have 20 minutes to create their flag.

Task brief

The task brief is laid on the desk in the study. The brief for the task is as follows:

Draw a card, and build a large version of the country’s flag that’s written on the card.

The best and most accurate large flag wins.

You have 20 minutes.

Your time starts now.

Task notes

  • Also on the desk, there are a set of cards, fanned-out, and laid face-down. Each card features the name of a country and the flag of a different country, including the following combinations:
    • The flag of Brunai, labelled ‘Bhutan’
    • The flag of Montenegro, labelled ‘Letland’ (Latvia)
    • The flag of Argentina, labelled ‘Uruguay’
    • The flag of Kenya, labelled ‘Uganda’
    • The flag of Indonesia, labelled ‘Polen’ (Poland)
    • The flag of Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), labelled ‘Irland’ (Ireland)
    • The flag of Albania, labelled ‘Angola’
    • The flag of Czechia (Czech Republic), labelled ‘Kroatien’ (Croatia)
    • The flag of Tanzania, labelled ‘Jamaica’
    • The flag of Colombia, labelled ‘Cameroun’ (Cameroon)`
    • The flag of Japan, labelled ‘Grønland’ (Greenland)
    • The flag of Peru, labelled ‘Østrig’ (Austria)
    • The flag of Burkina Faso, labelled ‘Botswana’
    • The flag of North Korea, labelled ‘Cuba’
    • The flag of Seychelles, labelled ‘Vietnam’
    • The flag of German, labelled ‘Belgien’ (Belgium)
    • The flag of Italy, labelled ‘Mexico’
  • Based on the fact that it appears that a different number of cards were available to each contestant, it seems likely that once a card was chosen by one of them, it was removed from the deck for all subsequent contestants who attempted the task, to avoid duplication.
