- The task takes place in the lab.
- There is a child’s 12-piece jigsaw on the table, complete except for three missing pieces, which are strategically placed within a large structure built from wooden blocks, on the table, next to the jigsaw.
- The missing pieces are a corner piece (bottom-left), an edge piece (top-left), and a centre piece (middle-right).

Attempts
Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Ida retrieves both the centre piece and corner piece, but footage of how she does this is not shown. To retrieve the final edge piece, she uses a pair of tongs to dismantle the tower, piece by piece, because ‘dismantling’ is not the same as ‘collapsing’. However, she ends up knocking over the tower during her efforts, and ends up in joint third place, along with everyone else who failed.
- Steinar grabs the easily accessible corner piece from between two blocks. He uses a knife to stab the centre piece and lift it out of the castle. He tries to retrieve the final edge piece by tapping it out of the tower and into a more accessible position using his knife. Unfortunately, he knocks a couple of blocks off the tower in the process, and ends up in joint third place, along with everyone else who failed.
- Amir easily obtains the corner piece from between two blocks. He fashions a small stick out of duct tape to retrieve the centre piece. He then uses ‘wind’ to knock over part of the tower (i.e. he blows on it), because “that just happens sometimes”, and it’s “not a collapse”. He is then able to successfully obtain the final edge piece using his tape stick. He earns first place for being the only one who completed the task.
- Einar isn’t shown collecting the centre piece, even though he did retrieve it. After realising he can’t retrieve the centre piece with his hand, he uses some string and a ball of tape to fish it out. To obtain the final edge piece, goes looking for tools, and returns to the lab with some spanners. However, before he can try anything, the tower collapses spectacularly, and he throws a spanner at it on his way out of the lab. He ends up in joint third place, along with everyone else who failed.
- Solveig, having already retrieved both the corner and edge pieces (though footage of this is not shown), debates how to collect the centre piece, and comes up with the idea of covering her hand with her blouse so that she is technically not ‘touching’ the blocks. Unfortunately, before she is able to retrieve the piece using this method, she knocks the table slightly, and the tower collapses. This annoys her greatly, causing her to coin the episode title (“Shit task! Goodbye.”). She ends up in joint third place, along with everyone else who failed.
