Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Ida fills an upstairs bathtub with water, while squirting dish soap into it, to make foam, stating that it’s the only way she knows how. She uses an oar to stir up the water, to make more foam. It is later revealed that all of the foam she made in the upstairs bathtub had backed up through the house’s plumbing system, and had started pouring out of a toilet a couple of floors below. Footage is shown of her discovering this by-product of her attempt, and of her then joyfully cupping and playing with the toilet foam, with her bare hands. She earns first place.
  • Einar squirts dish soap into the bird bath in the garden, and spray water into it from a hose. He notes that you need a lot of soap, and not an excess of water, to make a lot of foam, and suggests that squirting soap into the small pool on the property would not work very well. He manages to create a decent amount of foam, which spills into the stony area of ground beneath the birdbath, but earns fourth place.
  • Amir squirts dish soap into the small swimming pool on the property, and mixes the soap into the water using an oar. Towards the end of his attempt, he also uses a hose to spray in more water. He earns third place.
  • Solveig attempts to fill a garden furniture cushion box with water and soap, before discovering that such containers are not built to be watertight. Despite this, she perseveres with her ineffective method, losing most of her foam through the bottom of the box. She earns last place.
  • Steinar squirts dish soap into the small swimming pool on the property, and uses a leaf-blower to mix the soap into the water efficiently. At some point, he delegates the task of holding the leaf-blower to Olli, while he lounges in a nearby recliner. He earns second place.
