Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Steinar gives Atle a box and, before he opens it, praises him in a poem titled ‘King Atle’. The end of the poem reveals his thought process behind the gift, as he observes that Atle’s trousers had been slipping down a lot because his belt has too few holes. Steinar has therefore gifted Atle a quality set of punch pliers, to make more holes in his belts. Before even seeing anyone else’s gifts, Atle says that Steinar will earn first place. In the end, however, Steinar earns second place.
- Solveig says that if she is able to win a bust of Atle to keep, that she should give him something of her to keep, in return. She therefore gives him a very large, framed photo of her face. She also mentions that she was nude for the photo shoot and that, if she gets first place, she’ll give him the rest of the image. Atle says that he’ll hang the photo of her up above his bed. She earns fourth place.
- Amir says that he has painted a portrait of Atle, a little while from now, after a few glasses of wine. The painting is revealed to portray a nude Atle, with six-pack abs and a bird named Olli perched on his penis, standing in a garden at night. Amir also reads Atle a short poem. He earns first place for his creativity. Note: Amir's painting becomes part of the decor of the Kongen Befaler house, in subsequent seasons.
- Ida brings in a home-made golden bust of herself, to give to Atle in return for all the ones of himself that he’s given away. She earns third place.
- Einar brings in an identical golden bust of Atle as the one that’s up for grabs in the show, which he points out Atle can never actually win himself. When questioned by Olli on where he got it from, he initially evades the question by turning back around on him, but then claims that they must have just been shopping in the same stores. He earns last place.
