Here's a brief description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on writing up some additional detail, though!
- Aisling speed-walked out the room, extinguishing the flame after 9 seconds.
- Bob used the task to shield the flame from the elements. He managed to successfully light the candle in the caravan in 3 minutes and 5 seconds.
- Mark ended up dithering, trying to think of things to say. He could only think to say the word 'fiddly', and the flame eventually burned out after 3 minutes and 45 seconds.
- Nish tried to carefully protect the flame, but extinguished it himself by shouting the phrase 'bubbly fuck'.
- Sally put the cupcake under a bell jar to protect it from the elements, but accidentally dropped the bell jar on the cupcake as she tried to get into the caravan.
