The task brief is found on the desk in the study, next to a cupcake with a birthday candle. The brief for the task is as follows:
Using this flame, light the candle in the shed.
Task notes
- As the contestants read the task brief, Antoine lights the candle on the cake.
- There are electric fans, bubble machines, and sprinklers set up along the path between the study and the shed, and the shed itself is locked (the key being found just inside the study's exterior door, tied to a brick).

- Although this task is usually judged on a 'fastest wins' basis, in this case the contestants were scored based on how long they managed to keep the birthday candle lit, since none of them actually completed the task (without cheating).
