The task brief is held by Olli, who is stood near the garage. The brief for the task is as follows:
Light the Advent candles
The task is over when all four candles are burning in the candlestick.
You and the candlestick must be attached to the rope at all times.
The rope must remain whole.
Fastest wins.

Task notes
- A candelabra with four candles is suspended from a rope, which has in turn been attached to a cable run between the tops of two trees.
- The rope then runs through a point beneath the basketball hoop which is attached to the garage, and is then connects to a chain which Olli fastens around the contestants’ waists, before he hands them the task brief.
- The result of all of this rigging is that the further forward the contestants move, the higher into the air the candelabra is lifted, meaning that they can never quite reach it.
- After the task brief has been read, Olli hands the contestants a box of matches.
