Attempts
Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Inês initially struggles to get the tape started, then uses her teeth to free the tape. She wraps the tape around the table edge, but has difficulty getting it unstuck from the table, then has difficulty closing the box lid. She eventually does, and is the second to complete the task. Since the task is winner-takes-all, Inês earns no points.
- Gilmário gets the tape started fairly quickly, and wraps the tape around the edge of the table. He is the first to complete the task. Since the task is winner-takes-all, Gilmário earns five points.
- Jessica struggles to get the tape started, but when she finally does, she wraps it around her hand. It is only once Jessica reaches the end of the roll of tape that she realises that she is unable to remove it from her hand to complete the task. As a joke, Gilmário grabs Jessica’s hand and shoves it into her lunchbox before closing the lid. Jessica ‘completes’ the task third. Since the task is winner-takes-all, Jessica earns no points.
- Toy uses his teeth to quickly get the tape started, then wraps it around one of his shoes. It appears that he has difficulty removing the tape from his shoe, as despite his head start on unravelling the tape – and despite the speedy pace at which he unravelled the whole roll – Toy is the fourth (technically third, as Jessica does not truly finish) to complete the task. Since the task is winner-takes-all, Toy earns no points.
- António struggles to get the tape started, but once he does, he wraps the tape around the entirety of the table. He does this in parts, removing some of the unwrapped tape and placing it in the lunchbox before starting to unwrap more tape. He has difficulty removing the last round of unravelled tape from the table, but with Gilmário’s assistance, is finally able to complete the task, albeit last (technically fourth, as Jessica does not truly finish). Since the task is winner-takes-all, António earns no points.
