Here's a brief description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on writing up some additional detail, though!
- Ardal confused himself with his questions, ending up with all the shoes out the window, but fortunately managed to immediately find the correct shoe on the top of the pile. He displayed the shoe after 40 questions, receiving 2 points.
- Bridget was flustered and asked random questions, eventually asking if each pair of shoes were the correct shoe, frustrating Alex. She displayed the shoe after 161 questions (significantly more questions than there were shoes), receiving 1 point.
- Chris managed to divide the shoes after a few questions by their location in the room, at one point throwing the correct shoes out of the room, before realising his mistake. He displayed the shoe after 13 questions, receiving 5 points.
- Judi started identifying different shoes, getting Alex to take down the shoes for her as she watched. She displayed the shoes after 24 questions, including those she repeated to Alex, receiving 4 points.
- Sophie grew increasingly frustrated throughout the task, at one point throwing out Alex's shoes in frustration. She displayed the shoe after 30 questions, receiving 3 points.
