Task brief

The task brief is laid on a chair in the lounge. The brief for the task is as follows:

Guess who the Santa is.

Give your answer to Olli within 8 minutes.

Fewest yes and no questions wins.

Your time starts now.

Seated opposite the contestants in the lounge, there is a man wearing a Santa Claus suit, which includes a mask.
Santa is holding two table tennis paddles with the words ‘ja’ (yes) and ‘nei’ (no) written upon them, with which they can signal their responses to the contestants’ questions.
Either a line has been edited out of the task reading, or Olli tells each contestant separately (as seen in the footage of Solveig’s and Kristoffer’s attempts), but the contestants are not permitted to touch Santa.
Santa responds to statements as well as questions. It is possible he has been specifically briefed to do so, and it is up to the contestants to figure out this loophole.
Santa also responds to any question asked during the task, even if it is not directed at him. Any 'yes' or 'no' question asked is counted in the contestant's totals, not just ones posed directly to Santa.
Santa turns out to be the well-known Norwegian actor Anders Hatlo.
