Attempts
Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Images will be added later.
- Pirjo brings in a door. Her justification is that doors are beautiful, as - in a twist to the famous adage – “whenever one closes, it stays shut”. Jaakko awards Pirjo last place, calling her prize “obvious”. However, he goes on to award Pirjo an extra point after she attempts to justify why her entry should not be last, instead making her joint fourth.
- Fathi brings in a clamp. This specific (and complicated-looking) clamp has purportedly held Fathi’s bed together for the past two years so, without it, Fathi’s bed is broken. Jaakko awards Fathi second place.
- Eija brings in a tap. Her justification is simply that it’s nice that a tap brings water. Jaakko awards Eija joint fourth place.
- Kalle brings a credit card, onto which he has glued a metal handle. According to Kalle, the handle facilitates picking up the card if it is dropped. Jaakko awards Kalle third place.
- Erin brings in vintage lollipop gun that she used during her time in the pop duo Nylon Beat, in the 1990s. Erin’s gun is received with gasps from the audience and contestants, and Kalle even offers to buy it from her. Jaakko awards Erin first place.
