Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Images will be added later.
- Fathi runs to the mansion, climbs into the back of a production van, and is driven away from the premises. He calls his sister, asking if she has anything beautiful in her house. Fathi’s sister gives him a framed picture, which Fathi places on the block under the cloth, once he returns to the mansion. Fathi’s framed picture is actually a framed cover from the magazine Vogue, featuring pop star Beyonce Knowles. In the studio, Fathi justifies his choice by saying that he finds Beyonce beautiful, that she sings beautifully, and that Jaakko could have no better queen. As Jaakko does not think anyone was particularly successful in the task, he awards everyone two points.
- Eija takes a walk around the grounds of the mansion, searching for inspiration from nature. She finds a low stone wall covered in moss, and picks up one of the loose stones. After searching for more materials on her walk, Eija returns to the cloth and ducks under it to set up her beautiful thing. Eija sets the stone on top of a bed of fern fronds. In the studio, Eija says that the stone reminded her of Jaakko’s head and that, because it was balding, she added more moss to it to make it look more like Jaakko’s hair. Eija jokingly awards herself five points. Jaakko admits that there can be beauty in simplicity, but that Eija did not reach it. As Jaakko does not think anyone was particularly successful in the task, he awards everyone two points.
- Pirjo searches the grounds of the mansion for inspiration. She pulls a few stalks of wheat from the ground before backing away, as there are bugs present. Not much more is shown of Pirjo’s searching; the next shot in the edit is of her actual reveal. Underneath the curtain, Pirjo has placed Pilvi, dressed in a leopard print top, furry yellow jacket, and yellow straw hat. Pilvi is holding a pair of angel wings and shaking a tambourine. In the studio, Pirjo insists that the reveal was always the plan, and that she had conspired with the camera crew to film herself picking the wheat just to throw Jaakko off of the scent of her planning. As Jaakko does not think anyone was particularly successful in the task, he awards everyone two points. However, Jaakko revisits his decision for Pirjo, chiding her for putting him in an awkward situation, and asking how he could do anything but award Pilvi Hamalainen top marks. Jaakko thus changes Pirjo’s score to five points.
- Kalle searches around the mansion, and eventually finds a mirror, which he places on the marble. When he realises that the mirror will not stand on its own, Kalle walks to the shed in search of things to add to his creation. During his search, Kalle opines that all people are beautiful – even if they’re band members on a cruise ship – and that everyone needs to realise that. Kalle’s beautiful object ends up looking like a shrine: surrounding the mirror are fake flowers, some maracas, a toy car, a rubber glove, a hockey stick, a construction helmet, and a fancy hat. When he reveals his creation, Kalle informs Pilvi that it represents “elements of all possible types of people”, and that the reflection of the viewer allows themselves to feel like part of the greater whole. As Jaakko does not think anyone was particularly successful in the task, he awards everyone two points, but he then awards Kalle an extra point for the particular care he took in arranging all his items on the marble block.
- Erin’s initial reaction is to just sit on the block herself, and she does. She then reads the task again, focusing on the phrase “in honour of the Taskmaster”. She informs Pilvi that she believes that “tits would be good”. Erin searches the shed, and finds a small mirror, which she brings back to the marble block. She then sits on the marble and declares her beautiful thing ready to be revealed. Erin moves the curtain and holds the mirror in front of her face, revealing Pilvi’s reflection. Erin declares that Pilvi is “important, and enough, and beautiful”. As Jaakko does not think anyone was particularly successful in the task, he awards everyone two points. However, after Jaakko changes Pirjo’s score because she submitted Pilvi as her beautiful thing, Erin argues that she also used Pilvi. Jaakko retorts that Erin had only used Pilvi’s reflection, and deducts a point from her score for arguing.
