Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Ivo brings in a model of Greg's face which he's crafted from Heroes brand assorted chocolates. Greg initially suggests that the prize is a winner, but can ultimately only award it second place, after seeing Jenny's submission.
- Jenny brings in some of her late father's hair (which she keeps with her), stating that her father was her hero. Greg awards her first place, because he doesn't feel like he can give someone's keepsake of a dead parent any less.
- Kiell brings in a cape made from a sheet with Enrique Iglesias' face printed on it. When Greg challenges him to explain why it is heroic, he simply paraphrases the lyrics of one of Enrique's biggest hits (the song Hero) by saying "cos he can be our hero, baby". Greg awards him last place because he does not believe that Kiell made it himself.
- Frankie brings in a framed piece of Marvel superhero fan-art, featuring the character Wolverine performing oral sex on the character Captain America. The image is, unsurprisingly, pixellated for viewers. When challenged by Greg as to how the image is heroic, Frankie argues that having gay superheroes is a huge step forward, socially. Greg awards him third place.
- Mae introduces their prize submission by stating that a hero is "somebody that looks out for the little guy". Their item is a pair of glasses they have made, which they have called "The Coward's Glasses". The glasses have flip-down attachments, featuring photos of the wearer's own eyes, which allow them to block out whatever they're looking at, without anyone knowing that they've effectively closed their eyes. Greg awards them fourth place, based on the fact that he believes Mae personally made them.
