Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Images will be added later.

  • Kalle brings in a taped-up cardboard box. He insists that the box contains lots of money. Pilvi reveals that the cardboard box does indeed contain money – specifically, 15 euros. Jaakko awards Kalle fourth place.
  • Eija brings in a single Julia chocolate (marmalade covered in dark chocolate). Pilvi reveals that Eija submitted the sweet because she “just so happened to have one at home”. Jaakko chides Eija for bringing in such a bare-bones prize, but acknowledges her sacrifice in bringing in what is likely her last piece of Julia chocolate, and awards her third place.
  • Susani brings in a hot water bottle holder, which depicts a cartoon version of the famous ‘We Can Do It!’ (Rosie the Riveter) poster. Jaakko points out that her item is particularly unusual, as most modern houses are insulated against the cold, so sleeping with hot water bottles is quite an outdated practice. Susani counters that she not only enjoys snuggling in bed with a warm partner that doesn’t drool or snore, but that it provides an uplifting message every morning. Jaakko awards Susani first place.
  • Pirjo brings in a half-empty tube of haemorrhoid cream. Pilvi confirms that there is still some cream inside of the well-used tube. When questioned by Jaakko, Pirjo admits that she couldn’t find her original idea, which was a cassette tape by the schlager singer Jari Sillanpää, implying that the simple and sentimental lyrics of the schlager songs would serve as the soft thing inside the ‘bad-ass’ cassette tape (the word for ‘hard’ used in the task brief is ‘kova’ which can also be also used to mean ‘intense’ or ‘bad-ass’). Jaakko informs Pirjo that her prize is worth two points, but since she only brought in half a tube, he will only award her half the score. Jaakko therefore awards Pirjo fifth place.
  • Fathi brings in a framed photograph of well-defined abdominal muscles. Jaakko awards Fathi second place.
