Task brief

The task brief is laid on a circular red TM-branded mat on the floor of a warehouse on Cockatoo Island. The brief for the task is as follows:

Move a box over the red line.

Each turn, you must hide behind a box.

If Tom guesses the box you’re behind, all boxes must be returned to the start.

If Tom fails to guess the box you are behind, you may move your boxes forward.

The number of box moves you can make is the row number of the box you successfully hid behind.

Once a box is past the red line, you must deceive Tom one more time.

Least hidings to get a box over the line wins.

Task notes

In the middle of the warehouse, a large five-by-eight grid has been marked out on the floor with white tape.
At one end of the grid, a tower constructed from four cardboard boxes held together with strips of yellow and black striped caution tape is stood in the first square of each of the grid’s five columns.
Circular red markers are positioned along one of the long sides of the grid, denoting the number associated with each row.
At the far end of the grid, a thick red line has been marked out in tape.
Tom Cashman is stood on his own circular red TM-branded mat, about 10 metres past the red line.
