Attempts

Here's a brief description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on writing up some additional detail, though!

  • Daisy speedily made a catapult by taping a scoop on a stick to a sledge. She catapulted the shoe into the bath in 8 minutes and 5 seconds.
  • Johnny initially tried to catapult the shoe with a rake on a ladder but broke the ladder and fell on the floor. He ended up kicking the rake balanced on an oil barrel to catapult the shoe into the bath. He catapulted the shoe into the bath in 12 minutes and 20 seconds.
  • Katherine initially shook a TV aerial, then put an elastic band around her feet and got Alex to try and catapult the shoe from her feet, which she thought actually worked. She then broke a garden arch trying to make it act like a catapult, before announcing she wished her hands were her feet. She eventually taped a snooker cue to the garden arch, which she balanced the shoe on, to catapult it in, having to maneuver it around an electrical wire. She catapulted the shoe in 32 minutes and 45 seconds.
  • Mawaan repeatedly kicked a plank of wood on an oil barrel in an attempt to catapult the shoe over 84 attempts. He catapulted the shoe in 31 minutes and 12 seconds.
  • Richard stamped on the sledge to make it a catapult. He catapulted the shoe into the bath in 16 minutes and 10 seconds.
