Attempts

Here's a brief description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on writing up some additional detail, though!

  • Julie immediately decides that the child should be called 'John'. She sticks to this in the studio, presenting a posterboard with images of famous Johns (John Wayne, John McEnroe, John Cleese, John Mayer, John Kennedy, John lennon, John Goodman, and Elton John) in support of her argument. She is awarded fourth place for her suggestion.
  • Lina introduces a dance collective known as 'Disturbing Business' to the stage to present her choice of name. At the end of their performance, the dancers arrange themselves so that the letters on their outfits spell out the name 'Mogens'. Lasse awards her joint first place, based on the powerful performance.
  • Nikolaj leaves the stage and returns earing a priest's robe and collar. He suggest that the child should be named 'P. Ølse' (resembling 'pølse', the Danish word for 'sausage') because there are no other words that rhyme with 'pølse', and it is therefore 'bully-proof'. Lasse puts him in last place for this suggestion.
  • Ruben says he has written a song to present his naming suggestion. He then stands at the edge of the stage, dancing slightly to a funky instrumental backing track. As the music stops, he utters the name 'Niels', the sole 'lyric' of his 'song'. He is awarded joint first place for his performance.
  • Christian opts for a gender-neutral name, 'Micha'. He is so committed to his suggestion that he has apparently had the name tattooed on his arm. Despite this, he earns third place for his effort.
