Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Inês brings in a cockroach – it appears to be an actual dead cockroach, and not a rubber one. She specifically references her fear of leaving the bed at night and stepping on unseen cockroaches. Vasco awards Inês third place.
- Gilmário brings in a pair of dentures that he uses to scare his children. The teeth are discoloured and twisted, and he says that his wife also scares their children whenever she forcibly removes them from his mouth. Vasco awards Gilmário second place.
- Jessica offers up a statue that came free with her house. The statue itself isn’t particularly scary, but Jessica reveals that at night, the light angles against it in such a way that a giant shadow of it is projected onto her bedroom wall, and that she can’t move the statue due to its weight. Vasco awards Jessica first place.
- Toy finds the thought of going through another divorce (and an eventual third marriage) scary. As a representation of this idea, Toy brings in a wedding cake topper. Vasco awards Toy fourth place.
- Manuel brings in something of his daughter’s that scares him: a Pop It toy. He says that the very existence of it makes him scared for the future of society. Vasco awards Manuel last place.
